Steve has spent a lifetime in the restaurant and food service industry, gaining valuable experience at places such as San Francisco’s legendary Paoli’s, the Hyatt Regency and Café Veloce. Steve has put all his experience to work as the founder and general manager of Mission Bay Foods. From planning daily specials to producing extensive catering menus for special events, the passion that Steve brings to each and every facet of his industry is a tribute to his heritage. Steve takes great pride in overseeing every detail; from food preparation and training to restaurant design and execution. Steve will drive the expansion of Mission Bay Foods as it adds additional restaurant concepts and becomes THE corporate caterer in San Francisco.

Joining the MBF team in 2003, Elizabeth brings impeccable customer service expertise from her hotel and hospitality background. Embracing her new environment, she quickly moved up from catering order processor, to production coordinator, to her current role as catering sales manager. Elizabeth is responsible for personally managing all accounts, and continues to oversee all aspects of production and processing, from timely deliveries to the smallest catering details. Elizabeth clearly loves what she does and it shows every time you receive a MBF catering order.

Arturo has held the position of operations manager at Mission Bay Foods since the company was established in 1999. He started his restaurant career in 1993 at Café Veloce, working for Steve Paoli as a busboy, and quickly moved up the ranks from prep cook, to line cook, to kitchen manager to unit manager. With an understanding of how restaurants work, from the back of the house to the front, Arturo was the perfect choice for operations manager for the newly formed Mission Bay Foods. Arturo is responsible for production management, purchasing, quality control and customer service for all five restaurants.

In 1999 David joined forces with Steve Paoli and provided the funding and the business plan for the growth of MBF. He works closely with Steve on the improving operational excellence and strategic marketing of the business. For the last 25 years David has worked in San Francisco and in particular the San Francisco Design Center in a wide variety of functions, from special events and catering to construction and development. He has for the last 14 years served as the founder and general manager of CCI general contractors, a company that specializes in commercial construction, including restaurants and catering kitchens. As a principal of Mission Bay Foods, David currently operates as a part-time consultant, orchestrating the growth of the company and assisting in maintaining the highest quality standards.
